Gifts
Gratitude fills my heart as I reflect on recent celebrations like my birthday and Christmas. One gift that I’m grateful for is my health. Putting yoga as the cornerstone of my well being helps guide me through each day with discipline that ripples into other aspects of my life. Another gift I’m thankful for is my supportive family and friends, who are like an extended family, that have made my transition back to Rhode Island a seamless and joyous experience. It wouldn’t have gone so smoothly if they weren’t all there for me in the way that they have been. If you’ve spoken with me recently I’ll tell you how much I love living here as I ramble on about the charm of New England as I point out a scene and say “look at that, you will only see details such as those in this little pocket of the world we call home.” Yes, I love my picturesque surroundings, but the truth is it’s the people I’m surrounded by is why I love it here. The specific gift that got me reflecting in this way and has been especially poignant is trust. The trust that people have in me to take on important projects for them is not something I do not take for granted. Sometimes the stories of these projects are exciting, sometimes they’re heavy and I look for the way to shine the light on hope. With so many tools in video production, one of the most important is communication and good communication earns the trust.
Let me know about some of the gifts you’re grateful for so I can reflect on some I might have missed.
